Hi Scotty. I'm currently looking into buying another car for my mom, as her 2000 Mitsubishi Ecilpse 2.4 liter is finally on it's way out. Car only 153,000 miles, but both catalytic converters are clogged, and the last "mechanic" say different. Honda 240,000 miles on it, and is automatic. Only thing I don't know is if it's a 4 or 6 cylinder. Either way, can you please tell me what to look out for in both models? Thanks!

Too high of mileage look for something else. Wouldn't pay more than $800 or so if it was me.
Both are reliable, V6’s transmission will go out soon or later.
