Hi all I have a 2007 Fiat Punto 1.9JTD 6 gear manual. I have recently had the clutch, fly wheel and slave cylinder replaced on it. It now has a problem when I’m dealing the clutch the shifter will spring back in forth when I put clutch in and out. Also there is a grinding sound now coming from gearbox when the clutch is out when I push clutch pedal in it goes away. Mechanic is blaming in all in. But I want to know

I have seen that happen before if the transmission was rough housed when it was removed and put back in with the new clutch it could be damaged internally. Pray that there's just something wrong with how he put the shifter linkage back on the transmission that can happen too
