Walk away, you can get better for the money.

If a mechanic says its in good shape and you get it <$1500 it could be OK as a grocery car or second car. Not as a daily driver. For $2500, get yourself a Toyota Camry.

18-year-old Hyundai... if it checks out OK, 1/2 that price would still be charity to the seller.
