Hey, so I'm looking at a 2003 Ranger with 150K miles on it. It costs 7 grand.  She's not rusty, and she's got 4x4 as well.  Do you think it's worth it?

Thing is that I've never driven a manual transmission vehicle before, how long do you think it would take for me to get used to it... And is this a good vehicle to learn manual on?

Thanks!

Which engine? 2.3 I4, 3.0 V6, or 4.0 V6?

I think thats too much. If its a 4 cylinder + manual and you could get it for <$5000 then it could be a decent truck. Definitely have a mechanical inspection done before you buy it though. For 7 grand you might as well get a Tacoma or even Frontier for less.

You can learn a manual pretty quick and those trucks can be ok but I wouldn't pay that much for it. I would say 6 grand MAX!! Also, have a mechanic check it out before you buy it.
