I have a 2014 nissan xterra and it does not have 2nd gear at all and sometimes it will lock into 4th gear but if i shut it off it will no longer be in 4th gear and will continue to have no 2nd what can cause this and is it costly the transmission is an automatic with 60 000 miles i use it in extreme offroad and as a offroad recovery vehicle

well you need a new transmission upstairs have crappy transmission and if you really are beating them and off-road they weren't made for that kind of stuff
