So basically I need to be able to bypass the AC compressor the bearings are gonna and it's seizing up I don't have the proper information as I look online to either by a bypass pulley or getting a shorter belt for it anything would be very appreciated
I would like to know since I am bypassing the compressor should I disconnect all the fuses and relays going to it so it doesn't cause any issues?
Just disconnect the clutch coil wire and the compressor will not be able to engage.
It's not clear from your post whether the clutch pulley bearing is bad or the compressor is failing internally. If the clutch pulley is OK you can just leave the compressor disconnected and let it act as an idler pulley.
@chucktobias clutch pulley is bad I do have a question can I idle the car without that second belt it's o ly for the power steering and the ac compressor
Well if you can live without the power steering you'll be OK removing that belt. Otherwise you'd need a pulley to replace the bad one. Maybe a junkyard compressor with a good pulley if there's no other way.
@chucktobias would it affect the vehicle to not have that belt om tho I'll most likely do a compressor with a good pulley and just slap it on but I'd like to know cause we idle it a while to charge our phones also for a cheaper alternative could be use a smaller belt to bypass that pulley
As long as the alternator and water pump are working it won't make any difference aside from steering effort being much higher without power assist.
