When stepping on the clutch (original) it makes something similar to a door creaking sound....would WD-40 help and where to apply?? I looked under the dash but didn't see a cable there.
In addition, when going through speed bumps, from time to time the right front makes this short door creaking sound too; on regular road driving no strange noise though.
How much longer do you think this Mazda can go? I take care of it and replaced the brake pads, water pump and timing belt at 90K miles. At 100K I had to change the knock sensor.
I really love this car.
Putting some WD-40 on the clutch spring will take care of the noise. Those are pretty good cars. Their main weak link is rust, but if the body is on good shape it can last you.
Generally the Mazda323 (that’s how they marketed them in most of the world) is a reliable car. Generally they last somewhere in-between 120k-160k.
If you maintain your car properly and baby it I’d assume you can get another 30k out of it.
🙂 Thank you!
