Hello,
Hope all is well, I have an 03 Toyota matrix awd, the car makes a weird and loud rumbling noise, at speeds between 38-40, during this period the car down shifts a little hard, but overall it shifts fine. I changed the transmission fluid, filter, and the noise is still there. What could this be?

Does it always happen at a certain gear?
I only know it's at that specific speed around 38-40. So I assume yes same gear, if I downshift, the rumble goes away, even at that speed.
Have a mechanic who works on transmissions check the car.
