2004 Chevrolet Blazer power steering pump

Hi Scotty, I have a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer with 243,000km and the power steering pump seems to be leaking. The fluid doesn't puddle on the ground, but when I put the vehicle up on a jack and jack stands, I can clearly see that the power steering pump is soaking wet. The level of fluid doesn't seem to be decreasing fast enough for me to notice, and I check it every day.

I was wondering, how long do you think I can wait before changing it? I am a bit short on money right now, and plan on keeping the vehicle until the engine dies or the wheels fall off.

You can add the fluid (if need be) and keep driving the car. The worst case is when the power steering pump stops working and then you only have stiffer steering wheels, so nothing dangerous happens.
