2004 Chevrolet Colorado vs 2005 Nissan Titan

I have the option to buy either a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado LS 3.5L Crew Cab with 80,000 miles OR a 2005 Nissan Titan XE 5.6L V8 King Cab with 60,000 miles. Both are being offered at $8K and both are 2WD and in very good condition. Both are private party sellers.

What truck is better and more likely to survive longer? Anything specific to look out for?

Nissan

Anything I should look out for with the Nissan?

If you have time, what specifically is bad on the Colorado? Just poor design and craftsmanship?

Apples and oranges since it’s a full size compared to a small size truck but the Titan is better made and will last longer

True. I am more worried about reliability. After seeing Scotty's videos, I knew he doesn't like Chevrolet. I am wondering what specifically is wrong with the Colorado? Just poorly made compared to the Titan?

The Chevy Colorado is a poorly designed, poorly engineered and poorly built POS.  Nissan on this one.

Buy the Nissan, the Colorados with the V6 are rolling piles of junk, the Nissans are much better made vehicles.

Neither.

Of the two, and granted it’s different class trucks, the Titan would normally be my pick but I would avoid the earlier model year Titans which includes 2005.  Near the end of the generation and the least problematic years were model years 2012-2015 (2015 was last year of that first generation).
