Hi Scotty.
My 2004 silverado goes from blowing cold air to blowing heat all by itself. It does it after 15 to 20 minutes of blowing cold. If you turn it off, wait and restart it, it goes back to blowing cold air, then it turns to hot again after 15 to 20 minutes.

I had the same issue in my 06 silverado. Would be driving along and suddenly felt like I was sitting on the engine. Ended up being the blend door actuator. My truck had three of them. I have the dual climate control where the left and right sides are controlled separately. If I remember right it was the bottom right actuator that went bad on mine.
