Hello Scotty or anyone responding to this question. I have a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX with 257,000 miles that sometimes the transmission is shifting hard between 1-2 or 2-3. Luckily, this doesn't happen as often, but it is beginning to. I am aware that the transmission is starting to wear out by its looks, but I wonder what I can do to make it last a little bit longer. The transmission fluid has continued regular maintenance since new. If there is any advice I can take, that will be great!

Age is a cruel mistress, especially to old automatic transmissions. You could try some Lucas transmission additive.
