How do I fix DTC P0122 Throttle Position Sensor Low Voltage

My CRV has intermittently been throwing code P0122 - Throttle Position Sensor Low Voltage.  I have looked at the open and closed voltages (not running) and am getting close to 0.5 and 4.5 volts respectfully.  If I clear the code the CRV runs fine with a smooth idle around 700 rpm with smooth shifting / downshifting.  The code appears now that the temperature is getting cooler outside first thing in the morning about once a week.  I am not sure about the exact failure signature but based on age and miles am thinking that the sensor (potentiometer) is the cause.  I was going to buy a replacement sensor, but it seems Honda only sells the whole throttle body at a cost over 1000 dollars.  Is there a recommended aftermarket part that you could point me towards?  Is there any other diagnostic type information that I should attempt before replacing?  Ive read that the TPS is riveted to the throttle body.  Maybe this is why honda does not sell the sensor separately.

Thanks for any advise and/or recommendations you can offer
