hello, my mother drives an 04 pilot and i was borrowing it this morning to run an errand. as i was reaching the expressway, the car stalls and the oil pressure and battery lights come on. it did this a couple more times and i had to wait a moment for it to start again. after waiting i slowly turned the car on, going through each step of the ignition (I, II, and finally III where i rest my foot onto the gas pedal and slowly push down to ensure the car starts). would this be a fuel pump issue or something to do with the battery? heck, would it be something with the ECU and potentially the capacitors on it (i know ancient toyotas and lexuses [lexi?] have this issue) since its 20 years old?
any help is appreciated. just wanna know what could be causing this. the car is a 2004 honda pilot EX 5spd automatic with the J35A4 engine, 168k miles

How old is your fuel filter? Hopefully not 20 years.
that would probably explain it. i don't think the fuel pump's strainer has ever been replaced... it uses that system and i saw another guy on youtube who had that same stalling issue caused by that.
