Good evening Scotty,
I own a 2004 Lexus RX330 Front-wheel drive, with 124k miles. automatic transmission. I purchased the car in December and haven't had any issues with it at all. Until today, I put the key in the ignition, and the key wouldn't turn. I moved the steering wheel back and forth to see if that would unlock it, that didn't work. I opened my driver's side door as it was getting a little hot in the car, and tried the key again, it turned and back on the road I went.
I have seen a few videos on this happening and people sticking a screwdriver in the ignition and hitting it with a hammer, or people putting WD40 in the ignition? Can you help with what I need to do if this happens again. I don't want to be stranded.
Thank you for your time,
Tab04Fancy
Possible candidates: I can't vouch for either of these.

The real solution, I suspect, is to take the entire lock cylinder out, and replace it.
