I was going down the road and all of a sudden the car quit so I pulled over to try and start it but nothing it cranks over battery starter and alternator are good my catalytic converter the pipes broke off would that be the issue? Or spark plugs I also have a misfire code the car is 200000 km
Its 2004 nissan marano

Cats are more for anti pollution and shouldn’t be the cause of your car to quit running down the road, I would check the spark plugs as that could be the reason for the misfire especially if you haven’t changed them in 200k

I changed the front ones but not the back could that be the reason it stalled and not start
