Scotty looking to buy a new car stuck between a Toyota Camry 2018 or newer or a Honda Civic 2017 or newer. I normally keep my cars until they die. I have a 2010 Honda Civic over 200,000 miles on it. Just seeing which one you would recommend that is reliability and durability and long-lasting more than anything. Thanks

Hello there!

I'm going to express my thoughts on buying a new car. I also bought one this year and plan to have it as long as possible.

First thing: do not touch cars that were made at the beginning of a generation. Those have defects that reveal throughout usage and manufacturers take some time to repair them and implement repairs.

Last years of a generation are better. Like your 2010 Civic.

Latest generation of Civic was released in 2017 in Europe (2015 in U.S., I don't know where you live).

Latest generation of Camry was released in 2017 in U.S. (2019 in Europe, it replaced Toyota Avensis).

Another thing to consider is engine. I prefer naturally aspirated gasoline ones. They outlast GDI and/or turbo-charged ones.

Good luck.
