White smoke still?!

Topic starter

2020 Infiniti Qx60 SUV Automatic 85,000 miles.

This car was burning oil very fast and white smoke was pouring from the car

the car was taken to the mechanic and a engine service was done… the white smoke disappeared then came back along with a burnt smell!

The mechanic stated it needed a new engine so they put a new engine in and within 4 days the smoke was back along with a gas smell.. this has been so stressful what is going on and how can it be fixed??

Getting rid of the car and the mechanic and looking for something more reliable is the cheapest option.

White smoke indicates a coolant leak, not an oil leak. Oil leaks almost always identify themselves as bluish smoke, and it's especially noticeable when you accelerate. Did the engine ever overheat?

Sounds like you need to find a different mechanic.
