It has 217000 miles and only code being an O2 sensor. It studders between 25 and 40 and bucks at freeway speeds 70 and up I unplugged egr valve during diagnosis and of course it runs like a dream replaced the EGR valve and tried again and no change. I want to plug EGR valve back in to restore my Mileage can the o2 sensor really cause this with the EGR valve plugged in and not with it unplugged?

it's more likely the egr is causing the o2 error. Make sure the valve is operating correctly ie good vacuum
EGR valve was replaced and lines to EGR are clear
