2004 Pontiac Vibe Engine Stumble Until Warmed Up

  • Auto is a 2004 Pontiac Vibe.1zzfe base model vin code 8. All sensors except cam sensor have been replaced.Fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel strainer, fuel pressure regulator recently replaced.Spark plugs, ignition coils, and fuel injectors recently replaced.Intake manifold, timing chain cover gasket recently replaced.Battery 2 months old. Alternator,all wiring ok..Air filter, purge valves good.Charcoal canister new and vent valve,tubing ok,gas cap ok.No engine light.Engine with 312,500 miles will stumble in park and in drive until just fully warmed up.Engine did backfire through throttle body months ago but issue seems resolved. Question? What might be causing the stumble while engine cold.

Well it's old with a ton of miles on it. Assuming you got the correct mass air flow sensor. If you replace that and that's some cheap Chinese one then often it's just worn fuel injectors. I would just say replace all four fuel injectors if that's the case


Thank you for your input Scotty - I had thought about the MAS being a bit of reading saying it's not oem- probably will just do an oem replacement. . As to further ask- what is your opinion about rebuilt ( refurbished) injectors?
