I have a 2004 Camry automatic with 65k miles. I don't know the service history, so I'm unsure if the transmission fluid has ever been changed. I guess my question is whether too much time can surpass to where changing it would cause issues. If the fluid is 17 years old, is it too late to change it?

Change it, then you'll know it's condition and age.

I would change it, but make sure to keep the old fluid just in case you need it if the transmission slips with the new stuff on cars that old.
