Hi Scotty, I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander V4 base model, I'm the original owner. It has 169k, runs great and so far no major problems. Maintenance always on time. I saw a problem in these v4s of stripped engine bolts. Mostly on 2003. Should I worry about that? "hope this car lasts at least 300k"
The 2005 year model does not mention any on the headbolt stripping situation as Toyota musta done something about that. Other issues remain but not that.
