I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota st 3.7l v6 4x4 121000 miles I have a test fail but unsure if it is actually the charcoal canister? The blue driver module tells me this information Purge flow Monitor Test Fail Only other data showing is Mid 3D Tid 83 Min False max False Val True? This is Mode 6 data by the way.
There are no lights on the dash just run the test and it showed up. I know the purge valve under the hood was just replaced in the last year because the local mechanic said that was the issue. Now it has returned?? rest of the mode 6 data is fine nothing showing up. I can not find anything loose under the truck. Can anyone tell me what this data is telling me??? Thanks, Everyone!!
Here's the thing the only way to work on those stupid EVAP system has with the dealer level scan tool that can do bi-directional signaling and testing. But those machines cost so much you better gassing with parts on you are buying a 6555 to $7,500 machine
Thank you Scotty I will check the prices here with the dealer to see if they will scan it for a good price. But I know the canister is about 80 plus shipping around 100.00 I do believe?
