Hello,
I'm in Europe and I just bought a used Toyota Avensis 2007 with the 2,0L gasoline engine (147 HP), the engine is the 1AZ-FSE with 94000 miles from a first owner.
I noticed that in the morning the car makes a lot of white smoke , much more than the other cars I see in the traffic, even after idling for 5 minutes, I might add that the temperature is around 30 degrees F or 0 deg C. The smoke is white and has a gas smell.
After the car is completely warmed up (after 10 to 15 minutes) the smoke disappears all together. If I start up the car when the engine is warm there's no smoke.
I didnt notice any change in the level of the oil and of the coolant .
I did notice that the start up is getting a little bit more hesistant as if the car cranks for 1 sec more than
normal.
I'm thinking it might be due to an overlyrich fuel mixture and that it might be caused by the previous owner driving on very short relations. Currently thinking about using a motor clean up oil additive before the oil change.
Do you think its possible that the valve got clogged up by carbon deposits, what do I need to check before going to a mechanic...
It's my first car, I dont want to mess up, I thought this might be the best place to ask for advice since I dont know people that have car knowledge...
I just want everything to be ok with my car for the next year or, kinda need it to go to work hah..
To all of yall who seem to have bigger problems than me with their cars I whish you goodluck.
Anyways thanks in advance guys
Well lads are the engine is somewhat worn with a valve seals leaking and then burning. But just to make sure do my video how to tell if your head gasket is blown Scotty
