I have another problem with my car when I was driving my car the motor die and the radio was still on. But the car crank back up
Clarification: Mileage and which engine?
Mileage 130,700. Engine 2.0 I look it up on line and it said it could be a faulty battery or a faulty alternator or a faulty fuel pump
Is there a check engine light on after the car restarts?
Yeah I check the engine light it shows up code PO135. O2 sensor heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1 but I already replaced the O2 sensor
Did the engine shut off before replacing the O2 sensor? Did you try resetting the code after replacing the sensor?
The engine shut off like 2 or 3 time before I replaced the O2 sensor. Could it be the fuel pump or the fuel pump driver module
I think the fuel pump is an unlikely cause because usually the engine runs poorly due to low fuel pressure before shutting off and typically won't restart.
I also think the fuel pump driver module is unlikely if you are not getting other trouble codes. P1230-P1250 are codes related to the fuel pump driver module.
What I am getting at is this; Use a scan tool to check for additional codes accompanying the P0135. The car's computer can store multiple trouble codes simultaneously. Analyzing live data and freeze frame data should reveal why the engine shuts off. If the fuel pressure becomes erratic before shut down, the scan tool will show it.
Do you have any reason to think there is a battery or alternator issue? Does the car have to be jump started? A scan tool will read voltage and should show code 0560-0563 if a voltage/charging problem exists to a degree that would shut down the engine.
I would not suggest replacing parts without attempting to find out what's going on with a scan tool first.
You can also use the scan tool to try resetting the P0135 code. If it does not reset after replacing the O2 sensor there is probably a blown fuse or other problem with the electrical circuit for the sensor. The O2 sensor issue should not cause the engine to shut off, you can get back to that later. I hope this has been helpful.
