Hey Scotty, my 2005 5.7 Hemi Jeep Grand Cherokee has 172000 miles on it. It starts and runs great for the most part. I did simple maintenance on it (oil, air filter, transmission fluid) but I'm not sure of the history, other than I did have to replace the starter soon after buying it. Is there anything I should look out for or know about. In the year I have had it the only actual issue I did have was the starter going out and there is a slight whining noise on throttle at 60+ mph. It is a second car so I only use it for the winter but still want it to be reliable. Any input helps. Thanks!
Well with that mileage I would assume you're going to electronic problems at some point in time that those are known for but keep good battery in it and do regular oil maintenance change and fluids things like that
Keep an ear out for failing hydraulic roller lifters. They are famous for that.
