Is it a good idea? The plastic piece that holdS the cable for the cruise control broke and I need it in a hurry as I have a long road trip next week and I can't afford OEM. What are your thoughts?
160k, 4 cylinder.
Clarification: Do you have a link to Amazon? Not sure what brand you are looking at.

AutoZone, Advance, Carid, etc., about $291.

Find a compatible one from a junkyard.
Is only your cruise control affected?
