Trying to change the oil on a 2005 Honda CRV, the oil will not drain into the oil pan.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this ?
Are you changing engine or transmission oil?
Did you open the correct drain plug? (refer to manual).
Is there any oil in the engine to drain?
Changing the engine oil...trying to do a standard oil change, oil will not drip into the oil pan.
run the hole through with piece of wire coat hanger.
This engine is toast by the sounds of it.
If you took the drain bolt out of the oil pan and nothing comes out, you have no oil.
If you pulled the correct plug, and nothing at all is coming out you either have no oil as stated above, or you have so much sludge at the bottom of the pan it's clogging the drain hole?
Can you push into the drain hole with your little finger?
