2005 Lexus Rx330 automatic transmission
I have a friend that has this vehicle with 230,000 miles and the fluid has never been changed. I tried to convince him that it would be a good idea to change it. He found some video I haven't seen supposedly by Toyota that he says told him to leave it alone and not change it. I would appreciate your advice and opinion

Do not do that if the transmission fluid has never been changed. That transmission's friction material has more than likely come off and into the transmission fluid itself. As soon as you drain that fluid and refill it with new fluid, that transmission is most likely going to slip. All of the friction material that was in solution has been drained and replaced with slippery, new fluid. The transmission fluid should have been changed 6 times, if you're going for every 60,000 miles.
Thank you for the advice and comment.
