Hi Scotty! I have a 2005 Scion XB with 339,995 miles on it, I’ve been noticing when I turn on the ac the idle feels really rough when I put it in Drive and was curious if you would know what that could be thanks!

It could be that your AC compressor is wearing out, imposing a heavier load on your engine and electrical system. Or, due to wear in engine components the idle deteriorates even under normal AC load.

Thanks for the reply! I’m just confused on it, the engine feels really rough when idling, could it be Idle Air Control Valve?

It's an 18-year-old high mileage car, it could be almost anything. You could also try cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor.
