I'm looking at a 2005 Subaru Forester auto transmission with 231k miles for a work car. They are asking $3k for it. What do you think of these second gen Subarus? Possibly a good deal or leave it alone?

Too many miles, I'd walk away from that. Transmission will be on its last legs. (Surprising it still works.)
