Hey Scotty, so my brother in law just bought a 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5. however the people he bought it from ghetto rigged an exhaust on, which destroyed both catalytic converters. In order to pass admissions he needs to find OEM catalytics. I have been looking around online and haven't found anything, and the stuff I found was extremely expensive. I finally found a part out Impreza on facebook market place but the car is a 2006 model. My question is do the 2006 and 2005 Imprezas share the same exhaust set up? And will we be able to use the stock cats from the 2006 on the 2005?
I would not buy cats off Facebook marketplace. A lot of guys sell their bad cats or even hollowed out cats that don't function anymore.
Converters are expensive but necessary. Bite the bullet, get new ones, buy once cry once, and move on.
