I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma that has about 200,000 miles on it. For the past year I’ve had an issue with Cylinder 1 having a misfire. The misfire usually occurs as it accelerates and shakes the vehicle for a couple of seconds, especially as it nears 55 mph.
We’ve troubleshooted by changing coils, spark plugs, but the misfire persists on Cylinder 1. We’re thinking, but aren’t 100% sure, that it must be the head gasket. We aren’t sure if it’s worth the investment since it has 200,000 miles on it.
