Hi Scotty, I went to Big O Tires to check leak I was having. They said they did dye test and that the pressure line hose needed to be replaced for the steering wheel reservoir. They replaced it and went to pickup the truck. I ask them to put the truck up on the rack before I took it home to make sure no more leaks (I'm female). Upon looking at the truck on the rack, there were oil leak I could see running down onto the rack and pinion. Make long story short, manager there, said he didn't have time to look at it, come another day, because he was off of work and busy making a work schedule for his employees? I went then to Toyota dealership who charged me 155.00 to dx the problem. They then said the hose was routed wrong and that the other hose needed to be replaced? I then called Corporate of Big O Tires and complained, they called the Manager at Big O Tires, and only then did he call me and discussed the issue with me. He said to bring the truck back in at no charge for the work to be corrected. Took truck back, he did the work over again, BUT CHARGED ME 330.00. Then he said he had to order part for the other hose. He called me back and put the return hose on and charged me only for the part 98.00 (not labor). Picked up the truck took it home and now I had big puddle of oil on driveway, as well as on the right side of my rack and pinion now. Took it back to him and how he says "oh it's just the residual oil that came from changing the hose". What should I do now and how do I know they properly routed the hose again? I don't to want pay another 155.00 to have Toyota tell me they did it wrong again?
I would take the car to an honest mechanic and have it fixed and demand the previous shop to pay the bills.
