My grandmother owns a 2005 V70 Volvo and recently the cars engine would cut off as soon as we turn on the car. She was able to get it running for Abit by reving the engine really high but the next day she had the same issue. She said she had the ignition coils replaced but then she went to the hospital for 2 weeks and didn't get to drive it yet. I don't know if that's related. Any thoughts?
Check the basics have the battery and alternator load tested(Autozone can for free) and check air filter, spark plugs and pressure test the fuel system. Cars need air fuel and spark to go and you're not getting enough of one. Might as well check for leaks too both fluid and vacuum leaks and if you can get the car scanned with an OBD2 scanner do it that should tell you more if the basics don't help
