Hey scotty, I have a 2006 Buick Lacrosse 3.8L. I bought it about a year ago and it's been decent. However, for the last month it's been jerking back and forth. The RPMs jump back and forth between 1800 and 2200 RPM when I'm going between 45 and 60 MPH. Whenever I accelerate hard it doesn't do it, and it doesn't do it at any other speeds. What could be causing this? I heard it could be a fuel pump but I'd like a second opinion. Thanks.

How many miles you got on the car?
Does it happen in certain gears?
It has 130,000 miles and it seems to only be in third gear
You might have internal transmission issue. Take the car to a transmission shop for further diagnosis.
