Hello I was looking for a 2006 civic with automatic transmission 185k miles for 5k in California.
i remember you saying something about the transmission not being very good. Does that that year have a good transmission?
That's a decent price for your location. I'd have a mechanic test the transmission along with the rest of the car before you consider a purchase.
The 7th generation (model years 2001-2005) had the most complaints about the automatic transmission, but this 8th generation (model years 2006-2011) there were not as much. However, for model year 2006 the top reported issue was a cracked engine block which resulted in a new engine. 2006 to 2008 had that issue as well, and best to avoid those years.
