okay so i have a 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona RT 5.7L hemi and its been having problems right out the dealership. It shuts off randomly and sometimes it will start up no problem or sometimes when it starts up it will shut back off right away, my rpm will jump up or down. it mostly shuts off after fueling up but after 2-3 times of it shutting off i will park and idle to see if it will shut off again but it never does. my oil light keeps coming on but my oil is fine. I've taken it to a mechanic multiple times and he tells me it hasn't shut off and its fine. but its clearly not. recently from getting it back from the mechanic this red lightening bolt as appeared. also when i pump gas it keeps stopping so I have to continuously pump it, I've been told by multiple other people that it might be my fuel tank but I don't want to put money to buy a part when that's not the problem.

@daniel-macias
I had the same issue with 06 5.7L, there is an extended life time warranty on the 19 gallon fuel tank. The multi function control valve goes bad allowing fuel to go into the vape purge valve. It's not a recall, it is an extended warranty. You can look it up and tell the dealership. They replaced my 19 gallon fuel tank for free, I also did not pay a diagnostic fee. Before this issue I replaced 2 vape purge valves and an oil sensor before figuring out the problem for myself because everyone else was misdiagnosing my car. I hope this helps you.

could be the EVAP vent valve on a fuel tank but really find a better mechanic one who has dealer level scan tools who can buy directionally test that and also can hook it up to the vehicle and drive it until it acts off then when it acts up the scan tool will have memorized the problem when it occurred and it can be reviewed as those machines generally have about a 45 second memory so once the car acts up the mechanic just pushes a button and it freezes the last 45 seconds of information for analytics
