My friend found this 2006 Honda CR-V 4x4 from a private seller. Had it checked out. It Runs and drives absolutely great and don't need to fix anything. 1 owner 86k miles. New tires. It does have aftermarket DVD, Bluetooth music and calls, A backup camera, navigation GPS. $8400 price pretty firm but gonna try to talk him down to $8K. Good choice or move on?
Price seems too high for a 16-year-old CR-V even with that low mileage (which you would want to verify). Even Kelley Blue Book agrees it's too high and they tend to quote inflated prices to begin with. If you proceed be sure to have a good mechanic give it a thorough pre-purchase inspection. You didn't say whether it's a standard shift or automatic transmission but Honda automatics from that time period are on the weak side so pay particular attention to that.

He wouldn’t come down price is strictly firm because all the stuff in the car he’s selling with ( DVD,Bluetooth, Backup camera and GPS). I also saw a lot of those older CRVS do have a lot of transmission issues. I told him he’s better off with a 2013 or newer maybe even a RAV4 like mine.
That's just more stuff that's going to break on a 17-year-old car. To me that makes it worth less, not more! A newer RAV4 would be a great choice.
