Knowing how weak those Odyssey transmissions are, it's probably time to junk the thing. Likely your transmission is just shot.

Transmission issue for sure.

Baby that thing until the wheels fall off. Does not worth fixing/replacing the transmission.

Transmission, torque converter or transmission control module. All big ticket items. Get what you can out of it and save up for something else!

Probably looking at either a Trans Control Module replacement or a trans rebuild.  If you can find a good independent mechanic who rebuilds transmissions and knows the problems with Odyssey transmissions really well, you may be able to get a successful rebuild, which might be worth it, since you will likely get a lot more miles out of the van, if it is otherwise well cared for.  I had my '05 Odyssey transmission rebuilt around the same mileage, and we ended up trading it a couple years later with 205k miles on it because the catalytic converters were going out.  Honda will not bother with rebuilds, they will want to sell you a new trans for about $6k, which becomes much more of a decision point with your existing mileage.

Needs a new transmission.

It's a 05-06 odyssey, which has the poor transmission. 2007-2013 they put the robust ridgeline transmission in em, they can take a lot of abuse.

I seen plenty of 05-06 with 250k miles on the original power train. Some were bad apples.

Moral of the story is to avoid the 1999-2006 year odysseys and the ZF 9-speed they used for 2018-2019.
