I have this 2006 hyundai tiburon gt automatic with 157,000 miles that ticks really loud on idle and when driving at low speeds. after driving it hard the ticking gets quieter but slowly comes back. anyone know what it could be?

If it's the 2.7, then it's the HLAs ticking (Hydraulic lash adjusters "lifters"), it's harmless. Change the oil always on time and use synthetic.
