Hey Scotty , i recently went to go look at a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4×4 6cyl 3.7L private party sale has a 140 k in miles no check engine light or any– lights on only thing is owner told me it smokes when it's low on gas what do you think it could be and would you consider it a good purchase their asking price is 3500$ thank you Scotty looking to hear back from you
What is the smoke color? If it is a white smoke, run away from that car.

It did smoke a bit maybe 30 secs give or take and it stopped an didn't happened anymore after that ac runs nice and cold but that was the only thing the owner said it did was smoke when low on fuel
You didn’t mention the color of smoke. Did you check the coolant level? My recommendation would be to buy the headgasket peak test and try it when you go for test drive. After that, definitely show the cat to a mechanic before you put any money down.
