Hi Scotty my friend is letting me borrow a 2006 Kia spectra. It's got 170,000 k on it but runs great I can get up to 90 mph no problem on the highway and it idles smoothly. The body is rough but I don't care. He wants to sell it to me for 1200 what do you think?
Ps I have no maintenance records

They're not the greatest cars around to say the least and that one is 18 years old. Still, if it's in good shape for $1200 you'll be ahead of the game even if it lasts only one or two years.
Despite the low price I'd still get a mechanic to give it a good inspection before you buy it though. Even if we ascribe the best intentions to your friend it may have hidden problems that he or she doesn't know about.
