Hey Scotty,

I've got a 2006 Mazda 3, 2.0l with the 5-speed, ~130,000 miles. Car is running pretty well, no codes, doesn't burn oil, and plugs are clean. Only problem is, it ticks a bit, especially in the cold weather and when it just starts up. My mechanic thinks it's lifters but said he can't take out the time to change all of 24 of them. Do any of those stupid little "quick-fixes" like Seafoam or tranny fluid in the oil actually work, and what's the worst that'll happen if I keep driving with bad lifters? Thanks in advance!

Well you can try any of those lifter flashes like seafoam and see if it helps you never know but generally you just live with it Mazdas have crappy lifters on those older cars they want made that well
