Hello, so today I fixed the passenger side motor mount of my 2006 Mazda 3 with the 2.0L engine, and after i started test driving the car, it idled very low when it came to a stop and it even stalled out once and coincidentally tripped a p0506. I was very weirded out by it because prior to fixing the motor mount it was driving fine with no code or idle issues and I know there’s no correlation between the motor mount fix and how the car idles. I did try taking out the battery to reach the other motor mount and i managed to disconnect the negative terminal but the positive terminal was completely stuck and wouldn’t come off so i plugged back the negative terminal began to test drive. Is there a chance when lifting the engine from underneath a hose might have loosened up or cracked or maybe something to do with the terminals? (The battery is about 4 years old too). Where should I begin in trying to find the root cause of this? Thank you!
i managed to disconnect the negative terminal
Do not worry. The computer was reset and now you should keep driving till it relearn the idle.
