Should I take it? Not sure what I'd get if I sold it. Want something to add a bike hitch on for four bikes and have the vehicle be reliable =0
I would be very careful here. It sounds like it's too good to be true and probably is.
I sold my 2014 Camry to Carvana about a week ago. They gave me $3400 more than I paid 2 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was. As to should you sell, probably not if you have to buy something else. The Highlander is a great vehicle.
Trade-in. Not cash, right?
You might end up paying $10k over for a replacement.
At least in my area there are cars which you can get more than what you paid for it when initially buying it and in some cases even over the msrp for a new model of that same car. A friend sold their previous model Highlander themselves and bought the new model and was even left with extra cash in hand. But this is because they were able to secure the new Highlander at msrp and they just thought now that they can to get the new model. So you have to see what you will have to pay for the replacement car to decide if it is worth doing so or not.
I am thinking of getting a Civic. My only hesitation is that I have a dog, two growing kids, and for most trips together that would be tight. Not to mention I need a bike hitch added for 4 bikes which it can do, but may be pushing the car too much.
I would consider a bigger car. Accord or Camry.
I also figure if I am giving up my big SUV, I should get a standard transmission which Camry or Accord doesn't do. Actually Honda does, but it's meh, an Accord
You can find manual Camry as well. Both Accord and Camry are fine cars as long as you get a good model year.

Market is just NUTS!!!
You're saying you should get a manual if giving up the Highlander. There's nothing wrong with an automatic Camry or Accord. And not sure what's bad about the Accord thus your "meh" reaction; Honda is still making manual transmission on some of their Civics and they're not bad cars.
I just want something fun to drive if giving up the Highlander 🙂 I guess I will just hold Highlander, someone posted I'd regret it because we'd still need a bigger car. So for now I guess I'll hold it. As you can tell this market is causing me to go very back and forth
I'd keep it with how the market is unless you have three cars. If one gives up the ghost you'll end up regretting the sale.
