2006 Mazda MPV passenger CV axle

So on this car, the passenger drive shaft is in 2 pieces - the first piece is straight and it's what is plugged into the transmission. The other end is held in place by a bearing which is bolted to the frame. Then the second piece has a splined female socket on the end that connects to the first piece, and of course the other end goes through the rotor.  My question is, on the female splined socket end, is that held to the first piece of the drive shaft by a simple snap ring where all I have to do is gently pry them apart? Or is there more to it?

The inner CV boot is torn and flinging grease, that's why I need to replace the axle. I already have the axle on hand.

Yea, just a cir clip.  Be careful with O rings prying/pulling out.

Thanks.  Where are the o rings located?

Well, so close, yet so far. Managed to get it free from the hub, but couldn't pry it out on the inside end. The exhaust pipe is just in a really inconvenient spot and I couldn't get it to pop loose. I'm going to have to pay a shop to do this one.
