2006 Mazda MPV passenger CV axle

So on this car, the passenger drive shaft is in 2 pieces - the first piece is straight and it's what is plugged into the transmission. The other end is held in place by a bearing which is bolted to the frame. Then the second piece has a splined female socket on the end that connects to the first piece, and of course the other end goes through the rotor.  My question is, on the female splined socket end, is that held to the first piece of the drive shaft by a simple snap ring where all I have to do is gently pry them apart? Or is there more to it?

The inner CV boot is torn and flinging grease, that's why I need to replace the axle. I already have the axle on hand.

Of course you have to replace the entire drive shaft with the bearing but they get the bearing off you take the snap ring out and then you can generally whack out the entire shaft assembly it's pressed in there okay and the snapper is the only thing that holds it in there big snap ring though
