Hey Scotty, I've got my hands on a fairly cheap 2006 Mazda Rx-8 Automatic, it's got 55k miles on it and it was sitting for about a year. I can cold start it simply, idle starts a bit rough and then smooths out a bit but still idles quite rough, if I try to shit into gears the car stalls. R or D, it stalls. Once the vehicle warms up, it won't start anymore. So far this is what I've changed, (New Ignition Coils, New wires, New Spark Plugs, New Air Filter, New Battery) ( Also Installed Remanned Starter) Throttle Body and Fuel pump have been replaced from a different car. I've cleaned out the electrical connections, I've cleaned out the MAF sensor, I've cleaned the Throttle Body as well just to be safe. I've done the ECU relearn that you're supposed to do after you reconnect the battery. Some added information, I've read forums on how to deflood the engine incase where's it's been sitting for a while and I've done that as well. If I turn the key with my foot on the gas it gives me a wirring sound, when I turn the key without my foot on the gas, it cranks normally but if the engine is already warm it will begin to including some wirring sound as if it's being deprived of gas (i don't know but trying to diagnose the sounds). What could this be or what else could i look at? Planning to change the coolant and motor oil next. Thanks for any help and I hope I've been as detailed as possible.
Realize those stupid rotor engines have always had histories of flooding out it's just a bad design that's why they don't make rotary engines anymore in cars. But I would personally pressure clean the fuel injection system and find the hottest fire in spark plugs you can find to try to prevent them from flooding out
Thanks Scotty, i will give this a shot today. I'll update you with my results.

Hey Scotty, so I pressure cleaned the fuel injectors, got them tested to make sure they were working. I changed out the oil and coolant as well since the car was taken apart anyways. New o rings and seals were added to the injectors. On a cold start, car turns on and idles great. Much better than before, problem is if I try to shift to reverse or drive, car continues to stall. Also once the engine is warm, it's a pain in the ass to get it started again. I tested the fuel relay, fuel fuse, i tested the fuel pump itself, and still nothing. I'm including a video i used to diagnose the fuel pump and relay so you can see what I tried. https://youtu.be/iMeQyTx2Ls8
But I'm still stuck. Any other ideas?
