Hi Scotty,
I have a 2006 ML350 automatic with 117,000 miles. The check engine light came on and my mechanic came up with P1200 and P1208 codes indicating a balance shaft issue? Car still runs great but runs rough once in a blue moon. I just shut it down and restart and runs like normal again. the check engine light remains on. Cost to replace by my independent mechanic is approximately $5,600. MB extended their warranty to 2016 but was never notified of the issue or litigation settlement. Bought this car 2nd hand in 2009 with 38K miles. Would you recommend fixing this 14 year old car or just drive it until it drops. Do I have a money pit in my hands? Thanks for your recommendation.
Driving till it drops those things are money pits anyway I had a tax accountant lawyer who owned one and even he got rid of it because it cost so much money.. then he bought a Lexus that he's still loans
